Set it up with Blerp

  1. 1

    Install the plugin

Get Blerp from the Elgato Marketplace. It needs the Stream Deck app 7.1 or later, on Mac or Windows.

  2. 2

    Add a Custom Button key

Drag Blerp's Custom Button onto a key. In its settings, press “Log in to Blerp” and sign in in your browser.

  3. 3

    Open the key in Blerp

Press “Setup button” in the key's settings. Blerp's Stream Deck page opens with that key.

  4. 4

    Pick a sound

Add a Sound block, choose any sound from Blerp's library and save.

  5. 5

    Press the key

The sound plays through your Blerp browser source in OBS, so your stream hears it. Add that source to OBS first if it is not there yet.

Questions

Do I need Blerp Unlimited?

Not for your first sound key. One Custom Button key works without it: the one you pick with “Make this my free button” on Blerp's Stream Deck page, or else your oldest. More sound keys need Blerp Unlimited. The media share and pause keys only need a login. See plans

Which Stream Deck works?

The plugin needs the Stream Deck app 7.1 or later, on Mac or Windows. Its actions go on keys, not dials.

Does it work with Discord?

A Blerp key plays on your stream through OBS. For Discord voice chat, Elgato's guide sends Play Audio keys into Discord with Wave Link, and Blerp's Discord bot plays sounds in voice channels.

Can viewers play sounds too?

Yes. Sounds your viewers play through Blerp come out of the same browser source as your keys.
