Emote guide
How to Get 7TV, BTTV and FFZ Emotes on Kick
Kick chat only shows Kick's own emotes. Turn on Chat emotes in the free Blerp browser extension and 7TV, BTTV and FFZ emotes show up as pictures too.
What shows in Kick chat
- The channel's 7TV emotes, when the streamer has a 7TV set for Kick.
- 7TV, BTTV and FFZ global emotes.
- Blerp emotes, when the streamer has some in their chat on Blerp.
- Kick's own subscriber and global emotes stay as they are.
How to get 7TV emotes on Kick
- 1
Add Blerp to your browser
Get the free Blerp extension for Chrome or Firefox.
- 2
Turn on Chat emotes
On Kick, press the Blerp button next to Chat, open the menu and switch on Chat emotes.
- 3
Reload the stream
The channel's 7TV emotes turn into pictures in chat. Hover one to see its name.
Your Twitch emotes in your Kick chat
BTTV and FFZ have no channel sets for Kick, and many streamers set 7TV up on Twitch only.
Link Twitch and Kick on Blerp. For each of 7TV, BTTV and FFZ that your Kick chat has no set of, your Twitch set shows for viewers with the Blerp extension.
Kick's own emotes, and what this adds
Every Kick channel can upload up to 60 channel emotes, and Affiliates and Verified channels get 24 subscriber emotes on top: PNG or GIF, 500 by 500 px, under 1 MB (Kick Help, how to add or edit Kick emotes). Those show for everyone in your chat, no extension needed.
7TV adds an unlimited library on top of them for viewers with an emote extension. Kick subscriber emotes can't show through 7TV, because Kick doesn't share them; your own channel emotes and 7TV emotes sit side by side.
Kick 7TV emotes not showing
- Chat emotes is off: press the Blerp button next to Chat, open the menu and switch it on.
- The stream was open before you switched it on: reload the tab.
- The streamer has no 7TV set for their Kick account: 7TV looks up Kick channels by Kick account, and BTTV and FFZ have no Kick sets at all. A streamer who links Twitch and Kick on Blerp gets their Twitch set here.
- You're in the Kick app: emote extensions are desktop browser extensions.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. The Blerp extension and its chat emotes are free, and they work without a Blerp account.
Why do some viewers see words instead of emotes?
Only viewers with an emote extension, like Blerp's or 7TV's, see the pictures. Everyone else sees the emote's name as plain text.
Does 7TV work on Kick?
Yes, 7TV's own extension supports Kick, and Blerp shows the same Kick 7TV sets. With Blerp, streamers who link Twitch and Kick also get their Twitch sets in Kick chat.
Kick 7TV emotes not working?
Check that Chat emotes is on in the Blerp menu, then reload the page. If the channel's emotes still don't show, the streamer may have no 7TV set for their Kick account.
Can I type 7TV emotes in Kick chat?
Yes. Type the emote's name, or pick one in the Emotes tab of the Blerp panel.
Does it work on other sites?
Yes: Twitch, YouTube, X, TikTok and Rumble chat too. BTTV pictures can't show on X and TikTok because of those sites' image rules. 7TV emotes on YouTube
