Turn on the API

Enable the plugin API in VTube Studio settings and allow Blerp when the popup appears. The default port is 8001.

Enable it in Blerp

Switch the integration on in your VTube Studio settings, and keep your Blerp browser source live in OBS, since that's what talks to VTS.

Add a VTube Studio action to an alert, Channel Points reward, or extension button, and test it once before chat gets it.

No. Blerp reads the hotkeys and expressions already in your model and turns them into things viewers can trigger. If you can press it, chat can press it.
You attach actions to extension Custom Buttons, Channel Points rewards, or stream alerts. Alert rules can react to follows, subscriptions, gifted subs, donations, Bits, and raids. Everything you set up is listed on the VTube Studio page in Blerp, where you can manage it.
VTube Studio with its Plugin API turned on, and your Blerp browser source open in OBS (or another streaming app) on the same computer. There is nothing extra to download; Blerp connects through the browser source.
In VTube Studio, open Settings and turn on Allow Plugin API access. Keep the Blerp browser source open, and VTube Studio will show a permission request for Blerp. Click Allow, then finish setup on Blerp.
Check that the Plugin API is on and listening on port 8001 (or the custom port set in Blerp's VTube Studio Settings), and that the Blerp browser source is active in your streaming app. If the popup still doesn't appear, refresh the browser source.
Blerp reads them from the model currently loaded in VTube Studio, so VTube Studio has to be connected while you set up. Load the model you stream with, then use the refresh option in setup to pull the latest list.
Nothing fires. Your Blerp browser source is what talks to VTube Studio, so it needs to stay live while you stream.
Yes. Items stack up over the stream instead of replacing each other, and Remove All Items clears them whenever you want a clean slate.
Yes, unless you don't want them to. Exclusive Expression Groups in Settings make expressions in the same group replace each other instead of piling up, which keeps your model from ending up in an odd mix of moods.
