X Live Chat Emotes emotes on X live streams, on desktop

X live chat is plain text. There are no X emotes, and 7TV, BTTV and FFZ don't cover X. The Blerp extension is how a stream's chat on X gets emotes: 7TV and FFZ globals and the streamer's Blerp emotes, as pictures, on desktop.

What shows on X with the extension

  • 7TV and FFZ global emotes, typed by name, as pictures.
  • The streamer's Blerp emotes, when they have some.
  • BTTV emotes as names only: X blocks BTTV's picture host.
  • Desktop Chrome and Firefox on x.com; the X app shows text.

For streamers on X

Add Blerp emotes to your chat and they show for desktop viewers with the extension, and play in your X live alerts for everyone. If you also stream on Twitch, your Blerp emotes are the same set everywhere; your 7TV, BTTV and FFZ Twitch set carries to Kick and YouTube, not to X, which has no channel sets to fill.
