Kick Channel Points: How to Earn Them, Redeem Them, and Why There's No Hack

10 points every 5 minutes, 20 if you're subscribed, plus bonuses for following, subs and KICKs. How redeeming works, and what streamers set up.

Updated

Kick channel points are earned by watching: 10 points every 5 minutes, 20 if you're subscribed, plus one-off bonuses for following, subscribing, gifting subs and sending KICKs. You spend them on the channel's rewards from the Channel Points icon under chat, and the streamer decides what each reward costs. Points stay on the channel you earned them on. There is no hack; the rates are fixed by Kick.

Updated October 2026, from Kick's own Channel Points guides (dated September 6, 2026).

How You Earn Kick Channel Points

Points accumulate automatically while you're logged in and watching a live stream. Kick pays two rates:

  • Viewers: 10 points every 5 minutes (120 an hour).

  • Subscribers: 20 points every 5 minutes on the channel you're subscribed to (240 an hour).

On top of watch time, taking part pays a one-off bonus:

300

Once per monthly subscription cycle

Send KICKs

Two things Kick spells out: the limits apply across all of Kick, not per channel, and watching through screen mirroring or picture-in-picture does not earn points. On a TV, use Kick's TV app.

Your balance shows under the chat input field. Points earned on one channel can only be spent on that channel.

How to Redeem Kick Channel Points

  1. Click the Channel Points icon beneath the chat input field.

  2. The rewards menu opens with every reward the streamer offers and its cost. Every channel starts with one default reward, Hydrate, at 500 points (streamers can rename, reprice or delete it).

  3. Pick a reward, follow any instructions the streamer added, and confirm.

A message appears in chat for everyone, and the redemption lands in the streamer's queue. If the streamer or a mod rejects it, your points come back.

Is There a Kick Channel Points Hack?

No. Points are credited by Kick on a fixed schedule, and the search for a "kick points hack" mostly finds the same three honest shortcuts:

  • Subscribe to the channel you watch most. It doubles your watch-time rate on that channel and pays 300 points per monthly cycle.

  • Stay logged in with the stream actually open. Mirroring your phone to a TV or using picture-in-picture earns nothing.

  • Follow once, redeem often. The 50-point follow bonus is one-time per channel; cheap rewards are the only way to spend points faster than you earn them.

Anything that promises more than that is either a bot that gets your account banned under Kick's Channel Points terms or a scam asking for your login.

For Streamers: Setting Up Channel Points on Kick

  1. Open your Streamer Dashboard and toggle Channel Points on. Hydrate (500 points) is live immediately.

  2. Under Custom Rewards, click Create New: title, description, colour and cost. You can require the viewer to type something (it shows in chat, so never ask for personal details). Kick allows up to 15 rewards, including disabled ones.

  3. Redemptions show in your Activity Feed. Turn on the Reward Request Queue widget to manage them: Complete, Reject (points refunded) or Pause.

  4. Your mods can complete, reject and pause from the same widget in the Moderator Dashboard.

Kick's rewards are fulfilled by hand, so most channels end up with a short list of "do a thing" rewards. The ones viewers keep redeeming are the instant ones. Sound alerts are the easiest: a viewer redeems, the sound plays on stream, nothing for you or your mods to fulfil. Our guide to adding sound alerts to Kick channel point rewards covers the setup in about five minutes, and Kick TTS works the same way for text-to-speech redemptions. If you want ideas for what to add, the most redeemed channel point sounds on Twitch and Kick are ranked by how many channels set them up.

Quick Answers

  • How many Kick points do you get per hour? 120 as a viewer, 240 as a subscriber of that channel.

  • Do Kick channel points expire? Kick's guides don't give an expiry. They are per channel, so points on a channel you stop watching just sit there.

  • Can I transfer points to another channel? No. Points earned on a channel can only be redeemed on that channel.

  • Why didn't I get points while watching? You have to be logged in with the stream open. Screen mirroring and picture-in-picture don't count.

  • What happens if a reward is rejected? You get the points back.
