How do I add Blerp to my OBS?
The Blerp browser source needs to be added to your streaming software (e.g. OBS, Streamlabs, Twitch studio) in order to play on your stream so both you and your viewers can hear and see Blerp redemptions. Follow our guide here for step by step instructions on how to add Blerp to your OBS.
Why does my Blerp audio sound glitched/distorted?
Normally glitched audio is because of the browser source running out of CPU. There are guides online of how to give certain tasks higher priority but they should be navigated with care. Additionally capping game fps or lowering encoder quality can take strain off the CPU. Also, double checking your drivers to make sure they are fully updated (using the updater for your drivers, not windows) might help!
Do I have to be a Twitch Affiliate to use Blerp?
No, you do not need to be a Twitch affiliate in order to use the Blerp Twitch extension. Blerp offers two features, our bit redemptions, and the walk-on feature, both of which are available to use without requiring a Twitch affiliate status.
With Blerp, you can utilize the bit redemptions feature setting the bit redemptions to 0 bits, allowing viewers to use the feature without spending any bits. Additionally, you can also set cooldowns to prevent spam and maintain a more controlled environment for your viewers.
The walk-on feature is another exciting aspect of Blerp that can be used for free, regardless of your Twitch affiliate status. Walkon sounds will trigger upon the viewers entrance to your stream. Viewers can either request a walkon or you can assign walkons for viewers in your Blerp dashboard under the walkon tab by searching their username.
How can I use Blerp on Kick/YouTube/Facebook/Trovo?
Streamers can now use Blerp on any streaming Platform with our Blerp Universal Extension. The Universal Extension lets your viewers pay to share sounds on stream or use channel points they earn by watching and interacting with your stream. One of the best things about the Blerp Universal Extension is that streamers earn 30% more revenue than when they use a Twitch extension. Learn how to add the Blerp Universal Extension to your stream by following our guide here.
What is Blerp Affiliate?
The Blerp affiliate program functions as a referral initiative, offering content creators the opportunity to become affiliates by achieving 100% completion in any one of three categories: bits, walkon, or channel points. To access the specific criteria for each category, you can navigate to your settings, proceed to the affiliate section, and then select "open" under each respective category.
Upon reaching affiliate status, you will be provided with a unique affiliate link. This link can be shared with others, and when they sign up for Blerp using your affiliate link, they become associated with you as your referral. As your referrals make progress and attain 100% completion in any one of the three categories (bits, walkon, or channel points), you become eligible to redeem either three gifted subscriptions (gifted subs) or a $15 gift card as a token of appreciation.
Monitoring the progress of your referrals is made convenient through the affiliate tab in your configuration. This allows you to keep track of your referred users' achievements, enabling you to stay informed about their accomplishments and the rewards you may claim based on their successful participation.
Trying to add the Blerp Extension on your Twitch channel but it's stuck on loading?
There's an issue on the Twitch dashboard with the Firefox browser. If you are using Firefox and want to activate the Blerp Twitch extension we recommend using Google Chrome.
How can I use Blerp as a console streamer?
When streaming directly from a console, you cannot implement a browser source in your stream and Blerp needs to be added to a broadcasting software like OBS as a browser source in order to work.
If you do not own a PC, cannot use a capture card, and are strictly streaming from a console, you can alternatively use one of the Cloud-base live streaming software such as https://golightstream.com/
