For Twitch streamers

Twitch Raid Alerts sounds, goals and TTS for incoming raids

When another streamer raids you, their whole chat arrives at once. Blerp can mark the moment: a raid goal that fills on its own, a raid sound your viewers set off, and an alert that plays a sound, a TTS line or a video with the raider's name the second the raid lands.

What a raid alert is

A raid alert plays on stream the moment Twitch sends the raid: a sound, a TTS message, a video, or an alert box with the raider's name and how many viewers came along. Without one, a raid is a system message in chat that is easy to miss mid-game.

Blerp alerts run in one browser source in OBS or Streamlabs Desktop, the same source as your follow and sub alerts, so a raid alert is one more alert in the list, not another tool.

  • A raid goal

Put a goal on screen that counts incoming Twitch raids and fills up on its own in OBS. Goals are free.

  • Raid sounds viewers play

Viewers with the Blerp extension play an air horn or a crowd cheer from under your stream when raiders pour in, with Bits, Blerp currency or points they earn by watching. Free.

  • Sound channel point rewards

Five Blerp sound rewards are free on Twitch, so your community can fire the raid sound themselves.

Make a raid goal

The raid event alert, part of Blerp Unlimited

Under Alerts, Raids is its own group. An alert there plays for every raid, or only for raids above a size you pick, so a raid of a hundred gets a bigger welcome than a raid of three.

One alert can hold a sound, a TTS line that welcomes the raider by name, a video and an alert box together, and you can give the same alert several variations so it doesn't repeat.

Set up a raid alert

  1. 1

    Link Twitch

Open Integrations on Blerp and link your Twitch account, or sign up with Twitch.

  2. 2

Make the alert in the Raids group

Open Alerts, press New alert under Raids, and pick what plays: a sound, a TTS line, a video or an alert box, or several together.

Blerp's raid alert editor with the Twitch raid trigger, a preview, Edit alert and Test in browser source buttons, and a sound plus an alert box as contents
  3. 3

    Choose when it plays

Press Edit trigger. Keep any raid, or set a floor like 10, 25, 50 or 100 viewers. Make a second alert with a higher floor for big raids.

  4. 4

Test it, then add it to OBS

Press Test in browser source, then paste Blerp's browser source into OBS. Real raids play through the same source.

Raid alert sound ideas

  • An air horn or a crowd cheer: loud, short, and everyone knows what it means.
  • The raiding community's own meme. Keep a few ready for the streamers who raid you often.
  • A TTS line that says who raided and how many came, so you can thank them without reading chat.
  • A video for the biggest raids only. Set it to play at 100 viewers or more.
  • Keep small-raid sounds under a few seconds. A long alert for three raiders gets old fast.

Raid goals and subathon time

  • Goal per raid

A raid goal counts each incoming Twitch raid toward a target. Free, and it updates on stream by itself.

  • Time per raider on a subathon

A Blerp subathon timer can add time for each viewer a raid brings, so a big raid buys a big extension. The timer is part of Blerp Unlimited.

  • How raids work

How to raid someone, who can raid you and how to stop a bad raid are on their own page.
