To refund channel points on Twitch, open your rewards queue, find the redemption and click Reject. Twitch gives the points back to the viewer right away. Streamers and mods can both do it, from the same queue.
Updated October 2026.
Twitch channel points are a reward system for streamers to incentivize their viewers to continue watching their content and engage with their channel. But sometimes, a viewer may accidentally redeem a wrong reward or the reward doesn’t work properly. In such cases, as a streamer, you have the option to refund channel points.
How to Refund Channel Points as the Streamer
Step 1: Open your rewards queue. While you’re live, go to Stream Manager, find your Activity Feed and click its pop-out icon. The queue lists every custom reward viewers have redeemed and you haven’t completed yet.
Step 2: Find the specific redemption. In the list of rewards that have been redeemed, you will see two options on the bottom right corner; Complete All or Reject All. If you reject all then all of the channel point rewards that have been redeemed will be refunded. If you don’t want to reject all simply navigate to the right corner of each redeemed reward and there will be an option of complete and reject. Click on the reject to refund the channel points.
Step 3: Notify the viewer. It is a good practice to notify the viewer about the refund through Twitch’s chat or direct message. This will help you maintain a good relationship with your viewers and build trust with them.
If redeems are coming in faster than you can handle, you can also Pause redemptions from the same window.
How to Refund Channel Points as a Mod
Mods can reject redemptions and refund points on any channel they moderate. Open the queue one of three ways:
Type /requests in chat.
Click the Channel Points balloon in chat.
Open chat settings and pick the rewards queue under tasks.
Then click Reject on the redemption, the same as the streamer.
Why You Can’t Refund Some Redemptions
Rewards set to “Skip Reward Requests Queue” are marked complete the moment someone redeems them, so they never land in the queue to reject. Turn that setting off on any reward you might need to undo. Rewards made by tools like Blerp can also be completed by the tool, which is covered next.
How to Refund Blerp Channel Point Rewards
If you’re unable to refund a Blerp reward that was redeemed with channel points, you’ll want to check your channel point settings in your Blerp Config here (or on the older Twitch config page).
In your Blerp Config, you’ll want to navigate to your “Settings” tab. Under Settings, select “Channel Points”. From here you’ll see the option to toggle “Auto Fulfilled ‘by Blerp’” on or off. If Auto fulfill is toggled on, redemptions in channel points queue will be automatically accepted, or refunded automatically if your Blerp browser source isn’t connected. If you’d like the ability to manually refund these channel point rewards, toggle “Auto fulfilled” off. Once off, you’ll be able to manually refund the rewards by following the steps above.
